My name is Marcus Dwyer. As you know, the reason Waverly Havisham ended up in the year 2005 is because he was captured by time bandits. I am one of those time bandits. In fact, the whole "Kidnapping a man from the 16th century" idea was mostly mine. It ws inted to be a sociological experiment, but as you will soon find out, it went horribly awry.

It all began when Waverly though he had discovered the door knob to a secret room in his house. But as you can see from the pictures below, it was no doorknob.

After he had accidentally soaked himself, he decided to dry off using what he deemed the "Elevated Dryer Machine." This machine, however, was no dryer.

Sadly, Waverly let himself get a little too close to these spinning fan blades with gruesome results.

Time travel is a dangerous tool and is not to be toyed with. You will be missed, Waverly. Both in the past and the present (future). Farewell, friend. And continue discovering...up there.

In The Meantime

Hello, all! In this room I found two basins that appeared to be made of porcelain.

Each of these basins had knobs and levers crafted from sliver that seemed to create a mystic flow of liquid! After some tasting, I found this liquid to be none other than water. With much research and inspection, I decided that each of these basins had a different use: One is some sort of waste-repository and the other is to be used for washing your hands! Confused? As was I at first. But perhaps these images will help better demonstrate their uses:

Until next time!

Legless Pants

One of the biggest problems in 16th century England were those awful summers. Oh the heat! At times it got hot enough to melt the scales off a fish! And we Englishmen did not have a way to cool down unless we just about stripped naked. But that would never be acceptable under the Queen's rule, and we certainly wouldn't want to upset the Indians we had befriended, lest we wanted to risk ending the British Indian Empire (why I would never!). Just the other day, however, I was sauntering about and saw a man with the most brilliant of inventions: Legless pants!

Yes, you heard me. I said legless pants. That's right - pants with no legs! They looked something like this:

Not knowing where one would find such an obscure item, I decided to make an attempt at fashioning my own out of an old pair of slacks.

Good heavens, they felt wonderful!

Never before have my legs felt so cool and been able to move so freely while still remaining clothed.

And when teamed up with other inventions, they can feel even more gratifying!

Such a simple item can bring so much comfort and pleasure. If only I could challenge my old chaps to a game of cricket while wearing these! Surely I'd become the most accomplished of players. Oh, how wonderful the year 2005 is!

The Ceramic Cap

Today while I was exploring my living quarters, I found a circular, ceramic object that seemed quite puzzling:

But after studying the shape and size of the object, I concluded that it must be some sort of futuristic head wear.

Perhaps it is for fashion or perhaps it is for battle. I'm sure I will find out in due time. Mere moments after I placed it upon my head, I realized that we had objects very similar to this in 16th century England as well. They were called bowls and you put food in them. I will be posting essays and photos about the discoveries I have made in this strange, new society that I have somehow found myself a part of. Obviously I've already discovered a few things like computers, the Internet, digital cameras, and the Times New Roman font, but the rest of the world is still up for grabs! There are a lot of things for me to discover and I couldn't be more excited.
